PSA's Supplier Network Faces Overcapacity
November 2009 | Company BriefNews: French automaker PSA Peugeot Citroën's purchasing head Jean-Christophe Quemard has stated that the company's supplier network is currently operating at 40% overcapacity, half of which is structural. He added that the automaker is likely to add EUR2bn (US$3bn) to investment in the supply chain in 2009, with EUR250mn (US$375mn) as direct aid for struggling suppliers. He also believes that restructuring of the auto sector should continue to eliminate structural overcapacity.
