Toyota Plans Dealership Cuts
November 2009 | Company BriefNews: According to Kyodo News Agency, Japanese automaker Toyota Motor is planning to shut down around 300 dealerships across the country in the next three years. The company will select outlets which are to be closed or merged, depending on local-area sales and demand. The automaker is planning to help about 290 dealers in consolidating or closing selected outlets from a total of 4,900 dealerships nationwide.
