Government Grants Import Permits To Carmakers

News: According to El Universal, Venezuela's Minister of Science, Technology and Intermediate Industries (Mctii), Jesse Chacón, has stated that the government has granted its approval of the Imported Assembly Material for Vehicles (MEIV) for the car industry, applicable from Q110. He added that the government has granted import permits to five domestic automakers, with production of cars beginning in the January-March 2010 period.
