Pirelli Moves Ahead With Second Tyre Plant

News: Italian tyremaker Pirelli is preparing to begin construction of its second plant in Slatina, Romania. The tyremaker is seeking funding from the European Investment Bank (EIB) for the project, which is expected to boost its production capacity and competitiveness. The EIB has been considering granting a EUR50mn (US$74.58mn) loan for the project, which involves a total investment of EUR159mn (US$237.17mn).
