Michelin To Increase Local Production

Michelin, the world's second largest tyre maker, is aiming to double production at its plant in Davydovo, south of Moscow, by 2012 and plans to build a second plant in the country in the longer term. Bloomberg has reported that the French firm's expansion plans are primarily focussed on Russia's truck-tyre market, which continues to be Europe's largest and one that has seen a significant shift towards modern radial tyres.
