GM Planning Further Cooperation With SAIC

US car manufacturer General Motors Company (GM) and its Chinese counterpart SAIC Motor Corp are reportedly set to join forces in the Indian market, if ongoing discussions yield a positive result. While GM already has a presence in India, the deal would further SAIC's expansion into global markets. A source close to the talks, according to the Wall Street Journal, said that details of any partnership are yet to be agreed upon, but unconfirmed media reports suggest that SAIC would buy a stake in GM's India operations.
