Nexen Tyre To Invest In New Plant
September 2009 | Company BriefNews: According to Reuters, South Korean tyremaker Nexen Tyre is planning to open a new plant in Gyeongnam Province, south-east of Seoul, with an investment of KRW1trn (US$829mn) by 2017. The US decision to impose steep duties on tyre imports from China has prompted the tyremaker to open a domestic plant. The company expects that US duties on Chinese tyres will result in an increase in demand for South Korean tyres.
