Hyundai Expects 450,000 Sonata Sales In 2011

News: According to just-auto.com, South Korean carmaker Hyundai Motor has launched its mid-sized Sonata sedan after four years of development and an investment of KRW450bn (US$373mn). The carmaker is planning to build the sedan in three key markets, with sales of 60,000 units projected for Korea in 2009. Hyundai will start producing the sedan at its Alabama plant in the US in early 2010, followed by production at Beijing Hyundai in China in 2011. The carmaker expects the Sonata's worldwide sales to reach 450,000 units per year in 2011.
