Autos Show First Jump In 16 Months
October 2009 | Industry Trend AnalysisNew car sales in Spain shrugged off a 16-month low in September with registrations increasing 18% year-on-year (y-o-y), to 77,374 units, according to Asociación (Nacional) de Fabricantes de Automóviles y Camiones (Anfac) estimates. Much of the support to Spain's sales comes from the car scrappage scheme - known as 'Plan Vive' - and justifies BMI's long held view that the full impact of the scheme will only be seen in coming months.
