Production Takes Double Hit Despite Monthly Rise

Autos production in Argentina inched up 1.3% month-on-month (m-o-m) to 47,824 units in August this year, taking the 8M09 cumulative production to 291,149 units, down nearly 28.5% y-o-y, according to estimates from Asociación de Fábricas de Automotores de Argentina (Adefa). August's production increase makes it the fourth consecutive monthly rise in production so far this year, prompting industry experts to believe the market could be heading for a recovery.
