Tyre Makers Fear Fall Out From US China Row
September 2009 | Industry NewsTyre makers fear the trade dispute between China and the US could hurt their businesses in Europe. Toru Tsuda, CEO of Bridgestone Europe, is concerned the US ruling placing a 35% tariff on tyre imports from China on the top of the existing 4% tariff will prompt China to export more tyres to Europe, making them uncompetitive compared with their Chinese counterparts.
