Well-Timed Truck Scrappage Scheme Unveiled

The Chilean government will be introducing a truck scrappage scheme called Cambia tu Camión (or Change your Truck) in an attempt to boost new vehicle sales in the market and help reduce overall vehicle emission levels. The country's automotive association, ANAC, believes that the industry is poised to contract by a staggering 41.6% year-on-year (y-o-y) this year, to only 140,000 units, after reaching record sales of 239,835 units last year.
