Car Sales Follow Downward Economic Trends

New car sales in Bulgaria fell a staggering 60% year-on-year (y-o-y), to just 1,812 units in August this year, taking the 8M09 sales 18,493 units, down by more than 50% compared with the same period last year. Estimates from the Union of Automobile Importers in Bulgaria (SVAB) show that the August fall makes it the lowest monthly vehicle sales so far this year.
