Nissan Plans 2,025 Job Cuts

News: According to trade union sources, Japanese automaker Nissan Motor is planning to cut 2,025 jobs temporarily at its Barcelona and Montcada factories in Spain. The lay-offs, lasting for 78 days, will follow 698 job cuts in July 2009 within Nissan's restructuring plan. Nissan's trade union Sigen-USOC has described the job cuts as unjustified and will ask regional authorities not to authorise them.
