Government Lobbies For Volt Production

The federal and state government of South Australia have joined forces to campaign for local production of General Motors Company's (GM) Volt electric car. South Australian Premier Mike Rann is in Detroit to meet GM CEO Fritz Henderson regarding the project, which would create thousands of new jobs for the ailing automotive industry, both at GM's Australian subsidiary GM Holden and related suppliers.
