Power Shortage Restricts Prius Production

The success of the latest generation of Toyota Motor's Prius hybrid has left the carmaker's battery supplier unable to meet demand. While Toyota has an annual production capacity of 500,000 units for the model and has its factories working overtime to meet this full capacity, it cannot increase output further until the battery supply can match it.
