Car Sales Reach 10-Month High
August 2009 | Industry Trend AnalysisPakistan's car sales reached the highest level since October 2008 in July. The total vehicle sales of 9,825 units were 33% higher than the 7,207 units sold in July 2008, according to data from the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA). Car sales rose by 51% year-on-year (y-o-y) to 8,560 units to achieve the 10-month high, although the light commercial vehicle (LCV) and pick-up segment dragged on the total with a decline of 24% to 1,265 units.
