Ford Prepares To Crank Up The Volume
August 2009 | Project NewsUS carmaker Ford Motor is planning to join the ranks of companies producing small cars in India. At a meeting with its dealers, Ford India unveiled the prototype B517, which will be launched in early 2010. According to company officials, Ford is close to reaching a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the state government of Tamil Nadu to invest INR20bn (US$420mn) on raising the annual production capacity of its existing plant by 100,000 cars and 250,000 engines.
