Government Incentive Helps Buck Autos Crisis
August 2009 | Industry Trend AnalysisThe new car market in France continued to respond positively to a government-backed incentive scheme with sales rising more than 3% year-on-year (y-o-y), to 188,635 units in July this year. In contrast, sales in France's heavy commercial vehicle segment fell a staggering 41.8% y-o-y as a result of slow economic activity and the absence of any such scheme.
