Incentives Aim At 'Green' Car Production

Indonesia will follow in the footsteps of other Asian countries by offering incentives for the production of fuel efficient vehicles. The Industry Ministry's director general for transportation, telecommunications and informatics industries, Budi Darmadi, told the Jakarta Post that the technical and performance criteria for the incentives are still being determined and it is likely to be 2012 before they are available to carmakers.
