Scrappage Scheme Launched With Twin Objectives

The Greek government will introduce a EUR2bn scrappage scheme to boost vehicle sales and reduce the number of high polluting vehicles on the roads. The country's Association of Motor Vehicle Importers-Representatives (AMVIR) estimates vehicle sales fell more than 28% year-on-year (y-o-y) to 113,957 units in H109, prompting the government to announce significant changes in its regulations for the industry.
