Nissan Remains Focused on African Expansion

Market conditions have changed since Nissan South Africa (Nissan SA) first announced its intentions to expand in the sub-Saharan region at the end of 2008. Sales for the region outside of South Africa are expected to fall by 20% in 2009, after the year kicked off with a 25% month-on-month decline in sales in January. However, the company believes there are still opportunities to be found and will continue with its expansion plans.
