Government Attempts To Increase Competitiveness

The Slovenian government has provided nearly EUR14.3mn (US$20.09mn) in state aid to Revoz, the Slovenian subsidiary of Renault. The French carmaker dominates autos production in the country, manufacturing 198,096 units in 2008, only a marginal decrease from the 198,402 units produced in 2007.
