Auto Exports Plummet By 70%

News: According to Jordan Times, the president of the Jordan Free Trade Investors Association, Nabil Abu Rumman, has stated that there is a 70% decline in automobile re-exports from Jordan to Iraq during H109, as compared to the same period in 2008. He attributed the decline to security reasons in Iraq and complicated entry procedures to Jordan for Iraqis. Competition from Dubai and Syria were also cited as factors. Traders are expecting the downward trend to continue.
