Magyar Suzuki Begins To Look Abroad

Magyar Suzuki, the Hungarian subsidiary of Japanese carmaker Suzuki, is looking to offset a slowdown in Hungry with increasing exports, including its popular Swift and Splash models. BMI expects overall domestic consumption in Hungary to fall by at least 8% year-on-year (y-o-y) in 2009 on the back of the sharp credit squeeze and an expected GDP contraction of 6.4% y-o-y.
