Leasing Trade Takes A Dive

The slowdown in Slovakia's economic has resulted in a close to 43% year-on-year (y-o-y) contraction in new leasing contracts for Q109, the Slovak Spectator has reported. BMI sees a direct reflection of this in the demand for heavy commercial vehicles (HCVs, weighing 16 tonnes or more), which declined by a staggering 76.6% y-o-y, down to 1,417 units, in 4M09, according to estimates from the Association des Constructeurs Européens d'Automobiles (ACEA).
