Fiat Attributes Performance To 'Good Planning'

Italy's Fiat has cited its ability to adapt to market demand as a major factor in its strong performance in Turkey. In April, the Turin-based carmaker sold 10,032 cars and light commercial vehicles (LCVs), up by 40% year-on-year (y-o-y), to lead the market with a 19.1% share. Brand Manager Okan Bas said that the growth was expected and met the company's goal of selling over 10,000 units in Turkey for the period. The company also claimed 38% of the commercial vehicle market, taking its share of the total vehicle market up from 12.4% to 13.3% for 4M09. Bas also said
