Production Plunges But Optimism Remains
May 2009 | Industry Trend AnalysisThe Czech Republic's Automotive Industry Association (SAP) has revealed that passenger car and light utility vehicle (LUV) production fell by 23% year-on-year (y-o-y) to 205,281 units in Q109. The decrease was a result of falling vehicle orders over H208-early 2009 which prompted as the likes of Škoda Auto and Hyundai to reduce production, said Antonin Sipek, director of SAP.
