Union Rejects More Concessions In Chrysler Bankruptcy Scenario
April 2009 | Company News AlertThe Canadian Auto Workers (CAW) union has revealed that it will not make further concessions to Chrysler if the US carmaker files for bankruptcy protection. The CAW and Chrysler Canada are involved in lengthy negotiations aimed at securing cuts in labour costs that would enable the carmaker to go ahead with a tie-up deal with Italy's Fiat. Time is now an issue more than ever, as Chrysler's April 30 deadline to have an agreement finalised with Fiat is looming.
