Chrysler Reassures MEA Despite Bankruptcy

Following the news of its bankruptcy filing and forthcoming alliance with Italy's Fiat, US carmaker Chrysler has sought to reassure staff in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) that it is business as usual. In a conference call from Germany, Vice-President Thomas Hausch told press from the MEA region that there would be no job losses or changes to dealership contracts. He also said that this was actually the best time to buy a vehicle from the Chrysler stable as limited incentives are currently in place.
