BMW Optimistic Despite Sales Drop

BMW Middle East remains upbeat despite a 9% drop in sales for Q109. James Crichton, the regional sales and marketing director, has said that the result was 'in line with our expectations', and highlighted the strong growth recorded in a number of the region's markets. In Lebanon and Syria, for example, importers registered respective growth of 108% and 116%, while in Saudi Arabia sales were up by 15%. The largest market was Dubai with 772 sales, followed by Abu Dhabi with 589 units.
