Government Considers Boost Despite High CEE Rankings

Poland's Economic Ministry is currently working on a plan to boost new car sales. The country registered sales of 56,439 units, up by only 0.7% year-on-year (y-o-y) in the first two months of 2009, according to European automobile manufacturers association (ACEA) estimates. Nevertheless, BMI points out that registrations remain well above the average 30% y-o-y drop for the new EU member states.
