No Temporary Workers At VW By End-2009
March 2009 | Company News AlertGerman carmaker Volkswagen AG (VW)'s chief executive Martin Winterkorn has revealed that the company will not renew contracts for its 16,500 temporary staff this year because of the ongoing economic downturn. Its overall sales dropped by almost 15% year-on-year (y-o-y) in January and is expecting 2009 figures to end 10% lower still.
