Pakistan's Automotive Bodies Request Government Support
September 2008 | Industry NewsThe Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) and Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts and Accessories Manufacturers (PAAPAM) have approached the government for help in arresting the decline of the country's automotive sector. The Business Recorder quotes sources as saying that the industry's car production volume has been halved from 180,000 units to 90,000 units, largely as a result of escalating raw material costs and interest rates.
