Investment Dar Offers Aston Martin Stake

Kuwaiti investment firm Investment Dar has confirmed reports that it is considering offers for its stake in British luxury carmaker Aston Martin. Investment Dar was part of a consortium that paid GBP479mn (US$720mn) for a stake of over 50% in 2007. Executive vice president Amr Abou El-Seoud confirmed that a stake of between 10% and 20% is on offer, which will be taken from all of the carmaker's investors, limiting Investment Dar's portion of the sale to 5-10%. Seoud added that Aston Martin shares could be offered to the public in the next three to five years.
