GM Holden Backs Ethanol Production
December 2008 | Project NewsGM Holden is playing its part in ensuring there is sufficient infrastructure and ethanol supplies to fuel its new E85-powered models in Australia, as it joins forces with US-based Coskata to build a cellulosic ethanol plant. GM Holden intends to launch a version of its Commodore sedan that runs on E85 - an 85:15 ratio of ethanol to petrol - by 2010 and has entered into talks with Coskata to build its first ethanol plant outside of the US.
