Price Increases May Hurt Sales In Chile

The Chilean automotive industry has seen robust growth for the last three years, but now seems to be slowing down under the impact of external effects. Tighter credit conditions, higher interest rates and a stronger US dollar, brought by the global credit crunch, have seen auto sales growth slow down to 1.3% year-on-year (y-o-y) in September this year.
