Chinese Carmakers Explore Pakistan
November 2008 | Industry NewsA delegation representing Chinese carmakers has visited Pakistan to study the possibility of setting up local production operations. According to local press reports, the Chinese group is looking to establish a plant to produce cars that will be sold at a lower price compared to other models in their segment. King Ping, Chairman of the Chinese Mini Car Manufacturing Company, added that 1,000 cars will initially be shipped to Pakistan and local production will begin at a rate of 1,000 cars per month.
