Middle East Exports Save US Toyota Plants

Three Toyota plants in the US will recommence operations in November to serve the Middle East and Latin American markets. Production was suspended in August at the plants in Texas, Indiana and Alabama as US sales declined of the pick-ups and SUVs they produced. However, Toyota will now produce 15,000 Sequoia SUVs per year for the Middle East at the plants, as well as a further 150 Sequoias and 1,000 Tundra pick-ups for Latin America.
