South African Unit To Supply VW Global Network
June 2008 | Contract NewsVolkswagen South Africa (VWSA) has won a ZAR12bn (US$1.5bn) contract to supply exhaust components to the rest of the VW Group. Under the terms of the deal, VWSA will supply diesel particulate filters, which remove soot and other unwanted materials from the exhaust emissions of diesel engines, for five years. The filters will be produced in conjunction with exhaust systems producer Eberspraecher SA and sent to VW's factory in Kassel, Germany to be finished and distributed to VW production plants around the world.
