New Supply Contracts Force ZF Expansion

ZF Lenksysteme, the steering division of German component supplier ZF's North American operations, will relocate to a larger plant in Kentucky in order to cope with new contracts. The unit will move to Florence to a plant which is more than twice the size of its current plant in Hebron. ZF will spend US$30mn on upgrading the plant, which will be vacated by another ZF unit, ZF Sachs. The suspension and clutch specialist will move its operations to Guadalajara, Mexico after closing down in 2007. The 220 workers made redundant by the closure will be invited to apply for the
