Vauxhall To Cut Astra Output
June 2008 | Company News AlertGeneral Motors' UK subsidiary Vauxhall is looking to cut down production of the Astra model at its Ellesmere Port plant near Liverpool. Hit by the economic downturn and the weakening of the pound against the dollar, the company announced that production of 3,000 Astra cars will be cut from its annual production targets for 2008. As a cost cutting measure, workers will be laid off on full pay for two days this month and two days in
