Hybrid Holdens Under Consideration

Australian General Motors subsidiary Holden will release alternative-fuelled versions of its Commodore large sedan within the next two years, according to GM group vice president Nick Reilly. Holden's best-selling model lost its position as the country's most popular vehicle for a full quarter for the first time ever in Q108, when its sales were overtaken by those of the imported Toyota Corolla. Although the Corolla's sales had been higher in seven separate months previously, this constituted the first sustained challenge.
