Chery Makes South African Debut
May 2008 | Product LaunchChinese carmaker Chery has officially made its debut in South Africa with three passenger vehicles, all aimed at cornering the low-cost market. Distributed by McCarthy, which already has experience of working with Chinese carmakers, Chery has launched the QQ minicar, now South Africa's cheapest vehicle, the mid-range J5, which will compete against the likes of the Ford Focus and Toyota Corolla, and the Tiggo SUV. Chery has also backed up its imports with a network of dealers, technical support and after-sales
