Eco Cars Keep Rolling Into Thailand

Thailand's Board of Investment (BoI) has announced a further three projects to gain approval under the government's 'Eco car' programme. Toyota, Tata Motors and Mitsubishi have all been given the go-ahead for projects with a combined investment of THB16.67bn, in addition to the THB21.75bn in investment by Honda, Suzuki and Nissan authorised in 2007. Moreover, the three new projects will add 307,000 units per year in annual output to the 378,000 units to be created by Nissan, Honda and Suzuki.
