Toyota Halts Production In Colombia
March 2008 | Company News AlertToyota continues to adapt its strategy in Colombia in order to deal with the current operating environment. In the latest developments, the Japanese carmaker has announced it is to cease producing vehicles in the country and concentrate instead on manufacturing vehicles in Venezuela. Toyota has been producing and selling vehicles in Colombia via a joint venture with Renault called Sofasa. The French carmaker is expected to acquire Toyota's 32% stake in the company.
