Toyota Maintains Lead As Thailand Posts Strong Start

Thailand's new vehicle market registered a promising performance in January 2008, despite political and economic uncertainty. Total sales rose by 17.6% y-o-y for the month to 45,431 units, with the passenger car segment enjoying the strongest growth of 32.8%. The pick-up market, still the mainstay of the Thai automotive market in volume terms, grew by 12.5%.
