Ford Gets EC Approval For Craiova Acquisition
February 2008 | Company News AlertFord of Europe has welcomed the European Commission's decision to approve its acquisition of the former Daewoo factory in Romania. The Romanian government, which holds a 72.4% stake in Automobile Craiova, must however recover EUR27mn from Ford in line with the EC's ruling that conditions of the original sale operation - for example minimum production figures - constituted state aid.
