Record Growth Prompts BMW Expansion
February 2008 | Project NewsBMW Group Middle East is planning to build on the success of its largest market in the region, by doubling the capacity of its Dubai showroom. In 2007, the group sold around 6,000 BMW and Mini vehicles in the UAE, far ahead of the next largest market, Saudi Arabia, on 2,500 units. Managing director Phil Horton expects the UAE to remain the driving force behind BMW Middle East's regional growth in the coming years, as the company chases a sales target of 18,000 units in 2009 with a view to ousting Mercedes-Benz as the region's premium market leader.
