Ford Sells Component Unit

Ford has announced the sale to Linamar Corporation of its Automotive Components' Holdings (ACH) power transfer unit (PTU) business, and its plant in Mexico is near completion.The two companies have signed definitive sale agreements for the business and the Converca I Plant in Mexico. Ford describes the plant as amongst the leading manufacturers of PTUs in the North American auto industry. PTUs are used in all-wheel drive vehicles to provide driving force to the secondary driving axles from the primary driveline.
